Daydreams
Visions of love, drugged dreams of
Pain sweeter than sun
She turns the TV up, she's
Had enough.
Waiting.
A.m. again, another minute
Until sleep seeps in.
Reflections flash, some other past His tinted thoughts
Wishing she didn't want to see that he was strong, and
Windows closed, and true to fantasies they spun, now
Whispers low held himself
To no one else together.
Is this what living has to be? Dying need for someone to run to, but
Hesitating... never waiting for
She still won't believe her heart to catch the tide again.
But lights don't care to Let shadows breathe, and
Answer back to time far passed away
And his aren't right, wanting to tell her, but
Her mind is wracked, it's losing words to say, she's
All she has. All he has.
He ties her picture next to his
And thinks there's no better fit.
She smiles and thinks what she won't admit
Terrified of losing grip.
Afternoon wonders, but the evening knows
Love isn't the end of it.
Two leaves just follow where the other goes
And together back again.

Spacing is harder than it looks

Haha yes spacing is ANNOYINGLY difficult! But I like how this is done - I saw it and it had an effect before I'd even read the first word - I get the feeling of two things ripping apart. For some reason I visualized a ribcage, but two people is a more practical interpretation.
